How do I create, select or remove a player profile?

Your callsign selects your player record. Choose the right profile before starting a session or checking training results.

Create a profile

  1. Choose LOGIN on the opening screen.
  2. Type a name or callsign in the account screen’s entry field. The difficulty choices appear once you start typing.
  3. Select EASY, NORMAL or HARD before choosing CREATE. Normal is the default. Read what difficulty changes before committing: the account screen says this choice cannot be changed later.
  4. Select CREATE. A successful creation selects the new profile and opens the main menu.
  5. Choose a session type, or open BASIC TRAINING.

Use an existing profile

Choose LOGIN, then click the main part of the account row carrying your callsign. Its rank, level, XP and difficulty help you distinguish profiles. The small X at the end of a row is the delete action, not the login button.

If CREATE does not work

The callsign must contain more than spaces. If the game says the callsign already exists, select that profile or enter a different name. Changing only the capitalisation does not create a distinct callsign.

Remove a profile deliberately

  1. On the account list, verify the callsign and select its X.
  2. Read the Delete this account? warning. Choose CANCEL to keep the profile. Use YES, DELETE ACCOUNT only if permanent removal is what you intend.
  3. Allow VERIFYING STEAM AND CLOUD DATA... to finish. The game checks removal of profile-owned data, not just the visible row.
  4. Check for ACCOUNT DELETED. If it reports NOT DELETED, keep the remaining profile and check Steam/cloud connectivity and local storage before retrying. Do not treat the initial button press as successful deletion.

Keep a profile separate from a saved session

A profile carries your player identity and progression. A saved session is a particular operational situation you can resume. Creating a second profile is not a way to repair missing training progress; first check the selected callsign and the options for restoring training records.

Understand rank, level and XP

Use the progression guide to distinguish profile experience, the rank label and your current operational score. Selecting another callsign also selects that profile’s progress.

Leave the account screen without starting a game

Choose BACK on the account screen to return to the opening LOGIN / SETTINGS / EXIT screen. Selecting an existing callsign takes you to the game-mode menu; it does not load a saved situation. Use LOAD GAME there when you want to continue a saved session.

If account deletion is still being checked

While VERIFYING STEAM AND CLOUD DATA... or DELETING... is shown, the confirmation controls do not accept another delete or cancel action. Wait for the result. NOT DELETED - CHECK STEAM/CLOUD AND LOCAL STORAGE, THEN RETRY means removal was not confirmed. After that result, choose CANCEL to leave the dialog and keep the remaining data, or investigate the connection/storage problem before retrying. For a persistent problem, report the exact message.

If a familiar profile is missing

If a profile you have used before is missing from Accounts, check Steam’s connection and cloud status before treating this as a first-time setup. Creating a new profile—even with the same callsign—creates a separate player identity; it does not reconnect the earlier profile’s saved situations or training results. Keep existing files and record your game version and what Accounts shows for a problem report. If the profile is present but lesson results are missing, use the training-record checks.

The name you chose for your player profile. Select that name to use its saved progress and training records. Here, it is your player name, not the name of a flight you are controlling.
